Needs and Wants

Recently I purchased purse and clothes that were on sale. I liked them so much that I decided to buy some more in different colors! I often think about what I NEED and what I WANT, and often the line between them becomes blurred... .lol
Sometimes i have trouble turning down a good sale. I know that the more things I buy, the more things I have to maintain and eventually get rid of it. If you are like me...you know who you are...(Lu, TMZ, yaf gals) lol.....we have to control our wants.
Jesus tells us in the Bible, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19-21).

I'm not alone...

Why do we face so many temptations or obstacles in our life? Is it there to make me stronger? I think I face many temptations and obstacles for a reason and the reason is good.

God is the only reason that I'm here in this world. I feel like I want to share about the experience I had not long ago. If I share this, some of you might not look at me the same way as before. Am I ready to reveal this experience in order to testify how great God has done in my life? I'm really thinking right now.... (I'm not ready yet)

Recently whenever I had a chance to testify or say something about God, no word came out of my mouth. It's like my lips were seal because I'm not worthy to praise Him. God is so righteous and true that I feel so small in His present. No matter how I choose to live my life, I can't deny God. He is everywhere and reminding me that He is there for me. I am not alone, I don't have to do everything myself, He is there to help me. There were many times I woke up hearing praising songs in my head. I feel like I want to sleep again but can't get rid of the songs repeating in my head. I think I am bless by God very greatly. I can't remember how many times I turned away from God. Each time... He keep on pulling me back.

Dear brother and sister in Christ...
I'm not sure this testimony will help you in your daily struggles. But I want to share with you all that you are not alone if you feel depressed or troubled by so many things. For each person, the situation maybe different, but the reason is only one. We face these unsatisfying things so that we know how much we need God everyday in our life. What can we do is we have to walk every step with God. Remember 'footprint in the sand' story, when we can't walk anymore, God will carry us to the end. In the end, there will be only victory for us.

How To Be More Romantic

As Valentine’s Day approaches, our thoughts naturally turn to romance and love. we might wonder whether it is possible to actually be more romantic....
The advice is simply this: take a genuine interest in your beloved. Instead of focusing your interest and attention on yourself, focus it on them. Ask them questions about themselves and draw them out. Everyone has ideas and feelings about numerous things, and our showing an interest in those we love indicates our caring and love for them. Too many of us insult our friends and spouses by never bothering to inquire about their thoughts and feelings. So please take a genuine interest in the lives of your loved ones.

God Loves You

It is such a comfort to know that no one loves us more than our Heavenly Father....
God loves us and He wants us to know that we are never alone in this world. Sometimes we encounter problems or setbacks in our lives and may feel that everyone is against us. We must have faith to trust that God is always with us and cares about us. Regardless of the outcome of our various problems, we should know that with faith in Christ we will always be victorious.

Friendships

Good friends seem to come and go... :(
Friends we had during our childhood, high school and college friends have grown and moved on with their lives.... :(
Friends and coworkers that we considered as our good friends at one time have changed jobs or relocated to different cities..... :(
It is sad and depressing to lose a good, close friend....
We need friends and establishing friendships in our lives is very important.
Our Heavenly Father is the ultimate friend that everyone needs in this world.
He is one friend that will never leave us.
Earthly friendships rarely last a lifetime, but God’s friendship and love are eternal.

One

According to the Chinese calendar, we are in year 4706, the Year of the Rat. Based on a 12-year cycle, 12 animals make up the Chinese zodiac. The rat is the first animal in the cycle. (Kel, Su and me are rats!)

quest4truth: can someone tell me why we think Jesus died on Friday. I have been reading pre easter events of the Bible and many facts pointing me to a different date instead of friday.

quest4truth: please read Luke 23:56, Mark 16:1-1,Matthew 12:38-40 and Matthew 27:62-63 first. Also if we believe that Jonah spent three days and three nights inside a fish Jonah 1:17 and Esther fasted three days and three nights Esther 4:16 why can't we believe Jesus was in the tomb three days and three nights.

quest4truth: please thoroughly read Luke 23:56 and Mark 16:1-1 to find out when spices were prepared by those women. The clue might be there :)

quest4truth: We should know the Resurrection story thoroughly. Without that EVENT Jesus would be no different from others who claimed to be god. right?

Karen dress or people that I see

It's lovely traditional dress of Karen people. When I see it, the question came to my mind. Whether the beauty is more on the dress or the people who are in that dress? Please tell me outward appreance is more importance than the inward personality or the otherway around. What do you think? Outward or inward person? Or both? Or none?

I believe God is blessing each of us every day. We may feel that some individuals receive more blessings from the Lord than others. Those who can recognize God’s blessings may ask,“Why am I so blessed?” The answer is simple: God loves us. He asks for nothing in return except our love and for us to live our lives as He would want. People who can recognize God’s blessings are more content and happier with their lives. They can accept good times and bad, and they always know that God is with them, no matter what each day may bring.
