I was thinking to do something different and meaningful at this year thanksgiving. But so many things distressed me lately. I tried to forget those things and carry on with my idea. It’s hard and I don’t know how. I always believe that thing won’t be ever the same once it is damaged or cracked. It can never be reconstructed as good as before. At the same time, I hear this scripture inside my pounding head, “…Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18” I realize .…. with God, thing can be even better than before. But as being a person from sinful nature, it is not easy to just forget something.
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10”
Hopefully I can renew myself from tomorrow activity. A Pure Heart, that’s what I long for….

oh it's so....... coincidental you should blog about this.
i was just about to share about pure heart.
you know how this song has been our recent obsession.
but i never really talked about its meaning.
ABSOLUTE DEPRAVITY IN MAN. sometimes, i get so discouraged and downcast because of my sins. i ask myself, "phyu... why are you like this.... what you did is really not beautiful."
try as we might, even as christians who strive towards perfection like our Lord Jesus Christ, because of our sinful nature we fall down.. again and again.
let that not stop us from trying.
i really understand what you mean when you say once it's cracked, it cannot be repaired. this is the wrong mindset satan tries to put in us. we have to trust in the word of our God.. especially the one you quoted, which is so precise and powerful and truthful... "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
i find so much strength in our God's word. because it is truth. i rejoice in the truth.
sometimes i feel like.. giving everything up because of my sins especially after praising God and saying how much I love God.
"you praise God and you say you are christian, but look at you now and your ugly sin... " those are words of Satan.
BUT. 1 John 1:8-9 tells us, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
isn't our Lord beautiful, so wonderful.. and most of all, so true unlike any other?
that's why we can be thankful in whatever situation. God make it possible. :)
remember saya latt preached yesterday, not by might or power, but by the spirit of the Lord.
yes. i was listening even though i was doing my powerpoint. :P
that's why i say... a pure heart is so meaningful.
despite our sins
despite our failures
a pure heart
that's all God wants from us.
worship Him in truth. that's the Lord's desire for us.
:))))))
